2016 Summer in the USA

Andrew Georgiou

Made it through today!

I’m taking my game to the USA for the next few months & the fun started today! I played my first PGA Tour Pre-Qualifier and made it through to the Final Qualifier on Monday. (see results below) Yes you read correctly I had to Pre Q just to get into a Qualifier crazy.

Each Pre Q consists of +- 140 Players for 40 spots and is either competed over 1 course or 2. Today I competed against 70 guys for 20spots. The real test is on in the Final Monday Qualifier where the 40 guys that got through the Pre-Q joins up with +-20 PGA Tour pros that still have to qualify for the event & at this stage there is only 4 SPOTS !!!

It is high risk, high reward but hey, you have to risk it to get the biscuit!

You can follow along by clicking of these following links below:

  • Barbasol Championship, Auburn AL

These events will keep me busy through the end of August and then I’ll give you another update! Please feel free to leave any questions/comments below – or simply contact me via the tab (Top Right) or those of you who have my personal details fire away!

If you feel like getting more involved & want to Invest in me, I would love that! I have set up a few options for you to choose from, every little bit helps.

Wrapped up with the Sunshine Tour & off to USA!

Andrew Georgiou

As the seasons change so do my travel arrangements. I have really enjoyed my last 7 months in SA & have started to find some form over the last couple of months.

I started working with my new coach Quintin van der Berg from the Etienne Oliver Golf Academy at Steenberg Golf Course in March earlier this year. Since working with Quintin these are the results I have had:

  • Made 6 Cuts in a row
  • Shot my lowest round ever as a professional (62 -11 at the Zambia Sugar Open)
  • 2 Top 10 finishes including a 9th at the Zambia Sugar Open & 3rd in my latest event the Vodacom Origins of Golf at Langebaan

I’m very excited to move forward with working with Quintin & I must mention how great GolfLAB in CT is has been as well. Thanks Guys.

I’ll be in the USA for the next 2months & I will be Qualifying for 3 PGA Tour Events

  • Travels Championship, Cromwell, CT
  • Barbasol Champonship, Auburn, AL
  • Quicken Loans National, Gainsville, VA

I’ll then be back to the Sunshine Tour for the Vodacom Origins event at San Lameer, Durban in late August.

  • Please CLICK HERE for the leaderboard for the first qualifier in Boston this Thursday for the Travelers Championship.
  • There will be 100players participating for 20spots who advance to the Monday Qualifier.
  • Then there will then be 70players participating for 4 spots!

God Bless & if you have any questions drop me a line in the comments section below or CLICK HERE

Africa Open 2015

The Sunshine Tour was slow to get kicked off in 2015 only starting in Feb, but now we are in full swing!

We started our season down at Fancourt for the Di Data Pro-AM where I played nicely and recored a top 20 finish. I then missed the cut last week & now find myself down in East London for the Africa Open.

This weeks golf course is located down on the east coast of SA. The wind is known to blow down here and accuracy off the tee is crucial. I like the golf course and I’m up for the challenge, so please click on the links below to follow along and get in with the action!
