As the seasons change so do my travel arrangements. I have really enjoyed my last 7 months in SA & have started to find some form over the last couple of months.
I started working with my new coach Quintin van der Berg from the Etienne Oliver Golf Academy at Steenberg Golf Course in March earlier this year. Since working with Quintin these are the results I have had:
- Made 6 Cuts in a row
- Shot my lowest round ever as a professional (62 -11 at the Zambia Sugar Open)
- 2 Top 10 finishes including a 9th at the Zambia Sugar Open & 3rd in my latest event the Vodacom Origins of Golf at Langebaan
I’m very excited to move forward with working with Quintin & I must mention how great GolfLAB in CT is has been as well. Thanks Guys.
I’ll be in the USA for the next 2months & I will be Qualifying for 3 PGA Tour Events
- Travels Championship, Cromwell, CT
- Barbasol Champonship, Auburn, AL
- Quicken Loans National, Gainsville, VA
I’ll then be back to the Sunshine Tour for the Vodacom Origins event at San Lameer, Durban in late August.

The Sunshine Tour was slow to get kicked off in 2015 only starting in Feb, but now we are in full swing!
We started our season down at Fancourt for the Di Data Pro-AM where I played nicely and recored a top 20 finish. I then missed the cut last week & now find myself down in East London for the Africa Open.
This weeks golf course is located down on the east coast of SA. The wind is known to blow down here and accuracy off the tee is crucial. I like the golf course and I’m up for the challenge, so please click on the links below to follow along and get in with the action!

Alfred Dunhill Championship
As the year comes to an end so does the 2014 Sunshine Tour season…This week we battled the elements at Leopard Creek Golf course in the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Branden Grace came out victorious with a unbelievable 20 Under Par, where as I was way down the pack on +7 and in 63rd Spot.
I actually played nicely for the majority of the week, but unfortunately there were just to many errand shots. I made enough birdies to contend with 17 birdies, but 14 bogies & 5 double bogies just put an end to any momentum I had throughout the week.
Yeah I know there were a lot of ups and downs, sheesh but I’m glad its over and Im looking forward to a little break before the SA Open in January.
Compliments of the season to everyone & God bless
The one and only event I get to play in Cape Town is here!
We tee’d it up today and will be playing the rest of the week. Blustery winds today proved to be tricky and I was very happy with my -4 68 which placed me in 10th for today.
I’m teeing off at 8am tomorrow so if you’re in town come on out and watch. If you need tickets for tomorrow or the weekend let me know & i’ll sort you out!
Here are some pics from today 😛
